New Look at WEG

This is our new look at WEG. The weather is nice enough today for us to open one side of the booth. The WEG committee, at our request, has moved both the mobility assistance shuttle drop off and the WEG trolley drop off just to the side of us. So, we turned our vertical sign to face both drop offs. The rack with cards faces straight out, so catches traffic from the left. (We are giving cards to people getting off the trolley or shuttle). Just minutes after the change we had people walking THROUGH the booth! Previously they had been hesitant to enter but since they see an escape route, they walk right in!! We will also be taking turns visiting booths here in the Village and in the Trade Show area to hand out cards. The people we talk to are all impressed with the level of education required for an EBW and many comment on the importance of standardization of the education. Great news of all of us!!

Here is our booth. Today we actually switched the vertical poster and the podium, as most traffic comes from the right so we wanted to draw them in with the vertical poster.
Our day: Up between 4:30 and 5:00. Leave apartment at 6:30. Arrive WEG at 7:00. Walk 30-35 minutes from parking lot to booth. Prepare and then open at 8:00. Work until 7:00 PM. Close booth and walk 30-35 minutes to car. Arrive apartment about 8:00. Prepare and eat dinner. Do blog. Go to bed exhausted.

Our booth is located just across from the outdoor arena so we have been fortunate today to watch several free events.

Competition here at WEG is tough. Others better come prepared!!

On the way to our booth we ran into Secretariat. Thought we'd include his picture since his movie comes out Oct. 8 - during WEG!!

One of our tables. Demonstrates we work with small animals as well as large. There will be candy "falling out of" one of the feed scoops and some equipment (a red light, and 2 electrical stimulators) "falling out of" the other. The other table is all bones - one front leg, one hind leg, the pelvis, sacrum, tail and entire spine.

Sneak Peek at the IEBWA WEG Booth!

Months of coordination and preparation from a great team have gone into

the World Equestrain Games booth

and we thought we'd give you a sneak peek at the final rendering of our design.

Our newly remodeled website, blog, Facebook page and booth have been integrated into one wonderfully cohesive look, uniting all of the IEBWA divisions as never before.

2010 marked the first year that we held an online AGM (Annual General Meeting), and perparations have begun, in offering online conferences and courses, open to students, body worker professionals and the general public.

Online meetings took place in the preparation of this event, with all of the division Chairs and the Divison heads, from around the world. For some it meant the wee early hours, some mid day, and some late evening. It was not only fun, figuring out the challenging new online conferencing, but an amazing experience, chatting with everyone from every corner of the earth all at once. Very apropos for this International event.


The online venues will be the IEBWA's contribution to the global "green" movement, as well as
being considerate of the current economic times and it's challenging effects.

Setup for the WEG begins in just four days and a big thank you goes out to Ruth Mitchell Golladay of Virginia, and Lyndsey Deutsch and Brittany Deutsch coming down from Canada to load up the truck and making that long drive to Lexington, Kentucky!

The three of them are doing the initial set up of the booth and we
wish them luck on their 19 day adventure! (Yes! It's that long!)

You can be assured that this information presented is correct and accepted by other professionals specializing in acupressure. We have reviewed many acupressure books previously and this work is not stands out as one of the best, but is also unique in it's presentation.

This will be one of the books students are required to have for Equinology's acupressure courses.
